My new Doerr Legacy Select is an artistic masterpiece, possessing understated elegance that doesn’t burn your eyes with too much “bling.” The detailed design work is amazing! You can tell even the smallest element of the guitar was thoroughly thought out and executed perfectly. The beveled body bindings, which are a unique feature to Tom’s guitars, add to an already ergonomic body design that makes playing for long periods of time a very comfortable experience. When balanced on my right leg, the guitar seems to fit so well that I don’t even notice it’s there! The playability of my Legacy Select is second to none. The neck set, action, and stainless steel semi-hemispherical frets make playing effortless, all the way up the neck. The tone of this guitar is well balanced across the range, from deep bass, to warm mid-range, to sweet trebles. It has incredible sustain and responds to the lightest touch.
